Wales
“ Elvis” joins Emmaus Road Ministries {ERM}!
Phil Price, Steve’s brother, & his wife Mary, have accepted the request to become U.K.representatives, & Board members , for the ERM International Team.
Phil is a born-entertainer & his wife Mary is a gifted performer & classical organist/pianist.
Their “Gospel Extravaganza” team performs at many functions throughout South Wales, UK, & has become popular at many Residential Homes & summer festivals. Members include Keith & Mary Gwynne, George & Ruth Norman, Chris Parker-Jones, Dave Arnold & guest soloist Karen Bartlett.
The team has raised a considerable amount of awareness & financial support for the mission of ERM.
Phil & Mary also use their gifts in the music ministry of the Festivals of Male Voice Praise {FMVP}. In September the Boston North Shore Christian Mens Choir { Steve Price is the Choir chaplain} will join over 500 men of the combined FMVP Choir from all parts of the UK at St. David’s Hall in Cardiff & the Brangwyn Hall, Swansea, for the “All Britain Festival”.

Sri Lanka
ERM is pleased to welcome to its ministry Jonathan Hodgkins, who is now serving in Sri Lanka.
Jonathan will be working closely with Rev. Adrian De Visser & his wife Ophelia, whomDr.Price met whilst assisting the victims of the tsunami in January-March, 2005.
Prashan DeVisser, his close friend & Adrian & Ophelia’s son, encouraged Jonathan to prayerfully consider helping in Christian outreach to the many needy people of Sri Lanka. You can read about his call to service on our home-page under “Members”.
India
Dr. Prosperly Lyngdoh, & his wife Patsy, are temporarily in Mumbai where they are serving the Christain community in this city.
Originally from Assam & the Khasi Hills, of N.E.India, they will also be visiting their home city of Shillong to encourage believers & visit family.
Prosperly has received his Doctorate in Missions from the Billy Graham School of Evangelism at the University of Kentucky. He is a gifted preacher & evangelist. He was supported in his education by Dr.Ravi Zacharias.
The Welsh Revival of 1904-5 had greatly influenced this region of India. Welsh missionaries had opened this area to the Gospel in the early 1800s. Reports of the Revival in Wales greatly encouraged the expectant believers to be obedient to the Holy Spirit’s call to service & commitment…..Revival followed!
Amongst the bearers of the Revival flame from Wales to India, & thence to China & Korea, was Rev. Howard Agnew Johnston. He left his thriving ministry at Madison Avenue, New York, Presbyterian Church to become a catalyst for Revival in the East.
ERM is supporting Prosperly & Patsy as they minister. Donations for their India outreach can be sent to ERM.
We are also trusting that members of the ERM Team will one day minister alongside theLyngdohs in their home region of Assam.
Korea
With the assistance of Priday Productions & Film 42 of Wales, ERM is well on the way to completion of the promotional video for a docu-drama of the life of Robert Jermain Thomas.
Thomas was a dedicated young Welshman, who at the age of 26, was martyred as he brought the Gospel to Korea.
ERM / Film 42 has had the privilege of recording an interview with Dr.Sam.Hugh Moffett & his wife Eileen. Dr.Moffett is a retired professor at Princeton Seminary, NJ. He was born & brought up in Korea by his missionary parents. He has authored the most comprehensive record of Christianity in Asia.
The Moffetts’ love for Korea is contagious! Sam recalls how his father Sam.Austin Moffett met the early Korean Christians who had encountered Thomas, & how the fledgling Church had come to a point of Revival in 1907. The Welsh Revival of 1904-5 once again being used to influence the World, as the news of what the Holy Spirit had brought to Wales was sought after.
Dr.Moffett commented that the “Koreans are the Welsh of the Orient”. They love to sing & when they are committed to Christ the expression of their love is boundless.

Dr.Stephen Price to visit North Korea
On September 20, 2006, ERM’s Dr.Stephen Price will leave for Pyong-yang, N.Korea, with a group of 12 fellow physicians, who hope to open a paediatric special-needs hospital in N,Korea. The group “Wheat Mission” has invited Steve to share his experience of Primary Medical Care & Disaster-Management with more than 125 N.Korean doctors.
God has opened the door as an avenue of service, as Steve has a longing to share the contagious love of fellow Christians like Dr. Sam & Eileen Moffett, & also the many Kporean young people he has met, as they seek to serve their country in the Gospel of Christ.
Steve is hoping to record in film the gravesite of Robert Jermain Thomas & the environs ofPyong-yang where the young Welsh martyr gave his life in the service of his Lord.
Please pray for this mission. & for the many opportunities our Lord has presented to ERM to present the Gospel of Christ throughout the World, both through medical & ministry outreach, as ERM comes alongside those in need.
We need your prayer, encouragement & financial support. We cannot undertake this work without you, as we seek to be obedient to the Holy Spirit’s call.
